Moana 2 Review - Decent Sequel Till Now
Moana 2 is a respectable follow-up, but it needs assistance to re-create the magic of the first film. The story is still interesting and, for the most part, reasonable, but it feels unfinished—almost as if the movie was hurried to finish. In particular, the story's finale falls flat. Despite sinking the island and splitting the seas, the so-called all-powerful deity does not convey a sense of actual grandeur or terror. The conflict resolution in Moana seems much too simple and lacks the complexity and suspense that are necessary at such crucial junctures. Additionally, the audio has to be improved because it seems like an inexpensive attempt to match the excellence of the first movie. It appears to make an excessive effort to emulate the essence of its predecessor without attaining the same emotional resonance, instead of forging its route.
